- Once the Preset Editor is downloaded and installed on your computer, before opening the program, connect your Akai MPK Mini to your computer via USB connection. Now, open the Preset Editor software. It will prompt you to select your MPK Mini as the USB device. Choose the Akai MPK Mini from the drop-down list and then press Done.

I'll show you how to setup the MPK mini Mk2, using a preset file.
With this file you can use the FPC and also control the Transport with the Pads on CC mode (Play / Pause / Rec / etc)
1-Download and save the following file:

2- Load the file in one of the MPK's programs, using the MPK Mini MK2 editor.
If you don't have it, you can get it here: http://www.akaipro.com/product/mpk-mini-mkii#downloads
3- On FL Studio, Midi Settings, select the the MPK Mini MK2 and on the 'Controller type' drop down menu select 'M-audio Oxygen 25'
4- In the MPK select the Program with the preset file (Hold 'Prog Select' and hit the corresponding pad)
